How is carrot used in official medicine?

Official medicine uses carrots, primarily tame.

Official medicine uses carrots, primarily tame, for infants' indigestion and vitamin A deficiency, often against worms, and sometimes as a diuretic (for excreting water). Children who have earthworms are not given any other food for 1 to 2 days, except, quantitatively as desired, grated or chopped carrots. Children with indigestion are given several times a day per teaspoon of carrot juice.
